Personalised services make clients spend more cash
Clients will spend more money in your salon if they are offered a personalised service, according to new research.
Daily deals site Groupon founded that British people are willing to spend up to £55 more a year in their local salon if they are greeted by name.
The national survey, which looked at the frequency of visits and average amount spent, also found that a fifth (17%) of those surveyed were more likely to share something private with their local hairdresser.
Respondents also said they were more likely to offer repeat business to customer-friendly retailers if they knew them on a personal level.
Roy Blanga, managing director of Groupon UK said: “Quality, personalised service is key to customers, and is increasingly becoming the ‘edge’ that independent retailers and services need to be offering to stay relevant.”
