Professional Beauty mag gets a new look

The July issue of Professional Beauty magazine is on its way to subscribers now and has a completely new, fresh look.

We've redesgined the magazine with a fashion-forward consumer edge, yet held on to the busines focus and in-depth features that set it apart in the professional market. Here's a sneak peek at the new look, plus a taster of what you can see inside this month.

Saving face
With pollution at an all-time high, a new breed of skincare has landed to fight the fumes. Amanda Pauley investigates how salons can treat this modern-day ager. It’s fair to say that as the largest organ in our body, our skin goes through a lot, but applying a sunscreen (combined with a good skincare routine) is no longer enough to keep it in tip-top condition. Although protecting ourselves from UV rays has long been a big focus for the skincare industry, the sinister effects of pollution on the skin have come to the fore.

Mineral makeover
Mineral make-up is having a bit of a moment, reinventing itself in the eyes of consumers as an attractive, full-time alternative to conventional formulas, offering comfortable textures, buildable coverage and skincare benefits. Georgia Seago discovers how rich pigments and a nod to the wellness trend are broadening its client appeal.

Let the sun shine
With so much confusion surrounding proper sun protection usage, in this issue we consult the experts to bring you the best advice to pass on to your clients, explaining the difference between chemical and physical/mineral sunscreens, the best way for clients to protest themselves while still getting enough vitamin D and the latest key ingredients we can expect to see in suncare products in the future.

The July issue is out soon. A digital version can be bought online for £1.49 – or it's just £9.99 for 12 issues. The print edition is just £37 for an annual 12-issue subscription. Make sure you’re always the first to read the news and trends by subscribing online.
