Saks reaches £100,000 fundraising milestone for The Eve Appeal

Salon group Saks has raised over £100,000 in its ongoing fundraising support for women’s cancer charity The Eve Appeal.

Saks announced the milestone today, with the total amount currently sitting at £102, 251.24. 

The group decided to partner with The Eve Appeal in 2015. The charity works to raise awareness and funds for essential research into the five cancers that only affect women – cancer of the ovaries, cervix, vagina, vulva and womb.

Since 2015 Saks salons and employees have organised and taken part in fundraising efforts including sky dives, zip wires, bake sales and raffles; and have got clients involved by asking them to donate through charity treatment events.

Athena Lamnosis, chief executive of The Eve Appeal commented: “We are lucky to have such an amazing partner, with all the salons committed to go above and beyond talking to women, making some noise and raising funds and awareness about the signs and symptoms of the five gynae cancers.
