Seven complementary therapy stars honoured at 2016 FHT Awards
Specialists in cancer therapies, electrolysis and sports treatments were among those recognised at the 2016 FHT Awards yesterday (October 26).
There were seven awards presented during the 2016 Members’ Lunch, held at One Whitehall Place, London.
Angela Wheat won Beauty Therapist of the Year in recognition of the work she has done over the last four decades, which includes specialising in advanced electrolysis for transgender clients and for those suffering from conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome.
The FHT President’s Award went to Dr Peter Mackereth, who recently retired from the role of clinical lead for complementary therapies at Christie Hospital, Manchester, where he made huge strides in proving the benefits of complementary therapies for patients undergoing treatment for cancer, among other illnesses.
