Spiezia Organics: organic skincare hand made in Cornwall

Professional Beauty meets Amanda Barlow, managing director of Spiezia Organics, to find out more about their hand made fully certified organic products to be showcased at Professional Beauty London this February.

 

What is your most popular product and what do you think makes it popular?

Our facial cleanser is the most popular product.  Created from inspiration by Beauty Bible Editor Jo Fairley it is an organic version of the famous Eve Lom facial cleanser which has consistently won awards and is used by several celebrities and make up artists.

What makes your products special over the competition?

They are authentic.  Many claims are made about being organic or natural.  The Spiezia Made for Life range truly is – we use the naturally occurring chemicals and healing qualities derived from nature and combine this with a scientific approach in terms of the formulations.  This means that the end product is packed with vitamins, EFA’s and all the moisturising and hydrating qualities the skin needs.

How cost effective are your products when introducing them into a salon?

Really cost effective.  We want to be as accessible as possible so our MOQ is low and we are offer different packages which reflect the size of salon or spa.  Because we do not add water to any of the key products, you need very little in treatments therefore the profitability on spa treatments in terms of product use is really good. We accept small repeat orders so that produce is always fresh and at its best. 

Do you provide any extra services, advice or training programmes for professionals who use your products in their salons?

Yes we do. Training can be provided and this is based on the requirements and size of the spa or salon.  We offer training at our HQ in beautiful Cornwall where therapists also get to see where we make the products on site too. We also offer onsite training.  We have a retail training service, an incentive package for retail sales and one of our treatments Head in Heaven ™ is suitable for use for people going through cancer when used with our product range. 

Why should salon owners visit your stand at the show?

Are you having anything new on your stand at the show?

We will be launching our brand new Made for Life™ shampoo, conditioner and body wash packed with great ingredients and also our new packaging for the Made for Life™ by Spiezia facial range.

Will you be having any special offers exclusive to the show?

We will be having a special show offer with a package of £150.00 worth of stock which is enough to open up in a salon. In addition there will be an introductory offer on our amenity range of organic shampoo, conditioner and body wash.

Any other plans for the show?

I will be presenting at the show my views and thoughts on how real organic can boost salon and spa sales.  Mini Head in Heaven treatments will also be demonstrated at the show.

What tips would you give salon owners looking to introduce a new line into their salon?

Make sure that it fits with your ethics and values; understand your target audience and clients and ask them for their views on what they would like to see within the spa. Ensure that it will meet your needs and not be too challenging in terms of managing cash flow. Some companies require a huge initial purchase which can put pressure on your business.

Is there anything else that’s happening outside the show that you would like to share with us?

We are developing the work of the Made for Life Foundation, our registered charity which supports people diagnosed and recovering from cancer, and extending our spa treatment offering. In addition we will be launching at least two products next year which will continue to focus on the use of natural organic ingredients as the answer to beautiful healthy skin.
