Urban Retreat launches debut skincare range
Urban Retreat is set to launch its first core skincare range in March 2014.
The luxury hair and beauty salon group has devised the range specifically for Urban Retreat clients as part of their prescribed after care and it includes seven key products – a cleanser, exfoliator, mask, elixir, moisturiser, eye gel and lip serum.
The key drivers for creating its own range according to Reena Hammer, creative and brand director of Urban Retreat, is so clients can continue the effects of their treatment at home, which is prescribed by a therapist and is also inexpensive.
“We have very educated and discerning customers and we noticed that Urban Retreat Facial was missing a core range that could also be used at home,” explained Hammer.
“Using the knowledge I have gained in product formulation over the last year I’ve incorporated some of my favourite bio-active ingredients and essential oils, including lavender, rose geranium and ylang ylang. I’ve not tried to create a scientific miracle but an essential selection of products that can be used daily. It can also be customised depending on the clients skin type.”
In addition to the product range Urban Retreat’s head of beauty Jo Harris has created a new facial treatment, which features steam, extraction, high frequency and vacuum suction. The salon will be offering a 50-minute treatment for £75 or an 80-minute treatment for £100.
The range will be available at Urban Retreat at Harrods, Urban Retreat Smithfield and online at The Urban Retreat Beautique. Products are priced between £20 and £60.
