Vita Liberata wins second Queens Award for Enterprise

Vita Liberata has won its second Queen’s Award for Enterprise today.

The tanning brand was recognised for its strength in international trade and is the first beauty brand to win the award for two consecutive years.

Vita Liberata founder and chief executive Alyson Hogg said, “Winning The Queen’s Award for the second year running is an incredible accolade, one no other beauty brand has ever achieved. It’s a recognition of the dynamic, creative, tenacious and incredibly smart team of (mostly) young women that work with us across 24 time zones and as many countries.”

Vita Liberata now sells to more than 1,200 spas and salons in the UK and Ireland and has growing presence in key retail chains, such as Boots and on QVC.

Vita Liberata has grown quickly internationally since 2012, when it secured investment from Dublin-based private equity group Broadlake Capital.

Winners of the Queen's Awards for Enterprise are announced on April 21, the Queen's birthday, each year. Winners receive a grant of appointment, a presentational item and an invitation from The Queen to a reception at Buckingham Palace on July 14.

This year, 105 businesses received awards for international trade; 24 for innovation and 12 for sustainable development.
