The Professional Beauty Awards is a prestigious awards scheme for the beauty, spa, nails, and aesthetics markets, recognising those who make a real difference to the industry and encouraging their development.
The awards bring together the beauty industry to celebrate successes, with 10 categories for both spa and salon businesses and individuals, ranging from Large Salon of the Year to Employer of the Year. This year we have added two extra categories, Nail professional of the year, open to all nail techs working from home or a salon and Electrologist of the year.
With entries closing on Friday August, 23, we’ve highlighted our key reasons to enter the PB Awards and provided our top tips for your awards entry.
- Put your name on the map – The PB Awards is one of the most recognised in the UK and worldwide.
- Get recognition for your hard work – when you put your heart and soul into your business, getting recognition can be really rewarding.
- Boost team moral – by recognising your team’s hard work it can create a happier workplace.
- Show clients you’re the best in the business – winning a PB Award can not only help you retain clients but also encourage new clients as they can see you’ve been recognised for being the best in the business.
Here are some of our top tips for writing that award winning entry:
- Explain how you’re different to other businesses offering the same treatments, what’s your unique selling points?
- Show your passion for your business as well as your vision for the future of it.
- Prioritise pictures by making sure you look professional within them and make sure to display your full set up.
- Answer the whole question, as it’s better to put something even if you are remarking on an area for improvement, then putting nothing.
- Be concise and use bullet points to make sure the judges can see your key achievements.
