Bannatyne Group to add a further 16 spas by end of 2017

The Bannatyne Group has announced plans to add 16 more spas to its portfolio during 2016 and 2017.

The group, founded by Duncan Bannatyne, currently operates 37 spas in health clubs and hotels around the country, including two Clarice House spas in Colchester, Essex and Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, which were acquired in 2015.

The company has focused its efforts of late on making membership affordable and flexible for members by working on ways to lower costs for the customer. It recently introduced a “wellness cloud” concept across the spas to allow members to sync wearable health and fitness devices to the online hub for “24/7 personal analysis”.

Justin Musgrove, chief executive officer, at The Bannatyne Group, commented: “The success of our investment programme, providing the best equipment, state of the art technology and leveraging our expertise in spas in an ever growing health and fitness market, has driven the group’s performance during 2015. Having seen the positive returns of our plan, we will continue to drive our growth through investment in our remaining 35 health clubs and the roll out of 16 new Bannatyne Spas."
