Renowned Northern Ireland spa resort Galgorm has announced a £3 million investment, led by the opening of a new Forest Spa Garden designed to expand its thermal and outdoor wellness offering.
The Forest Spa Garden represents a £1 million investment and is located across the River Maine from the existing Thermal Spa Village, within the resort’s woodland area.
The new space includes four relax cabanas, three private hot tubs, a sauna and forest walkways, with a dedicated bridge connecting it directly to the main spa facilities.

The new spa area is open to both overnight guests and day spa visitors and has also been designed to support guests staying in Galgorm’s recently launched Forest Dens accommodation.
The Forest Spa Garden allows Forest Den guests to access thermal spa facilities closer to their lodges, while maintaining access to the wider Thermal Spa Village.
The Forest Dens are set within woodland and feature private garden terraces, outdoor showers, wood-fired baths and private saunas, offering accommodation integrated with spa facilities.
Alongside the spa development, Galgorm has invested £2 million in upgrading guest accommodation. Six junior suites have been refurbished and now include private hot tubs on balcony terraces overlooking the River Maine. A further 45 superior rooms have also been refurbished as part of the programme.
Colin Johnston, managing director of Galgorm Collection, said the investment was focused on extending the spa experience across both accommodation and outdoor spaces, allowing guests to engage with wellness facilities throughout their stay.

The £3 million project forms part of Galgorm’s wider £40 million expansion strategy through to 2027. More than £60 million has been invested in the flagship Galgorm resort since 2010.
Across the wider Galgorm Collection portfolio, the group has recently acquired Galgorm Castle Estate in Ballymena and Roe Valley Resort in Limavady for a combined £28 million, with an additional £22 million committed to upgrading those properties over the next five years.
The group also operates the Rabbit Hotel & Retreat in Templepatrick, developed following a £15 million investment, and The Old Inn in Crawfordsburn, which includes a £2.5 million outdoor spa.
