iiaa announces Salon of the year 2024 winners

Published 25th Jun 2024 by Eve Oxberry

Elegance of Gidea Park and Olivia Matthews were among the winners of the iiaa Salon of the Year Awards 2024.

The awards saw salon owners and skincare professionals from across the UK and Ireland gather at brand new hotel Peninsula London, to celebrate success over the past year.

The awards were opened by iiaa managing director David Alpert, while co-founder Tracy Tamaris presented the Therapist categories.

The event was co-hosted by British Beauty Council chief executive Millie Kendall, who began with a presentation on how the beauty and hair industry impacts the UK economy - contributing £24.5bn to the GDP - and the essential role that salons play in areas including employment and mental health.

As well as categories for leading salons and the environmental-focussed Green Salon of the Year Award, this year saw more categories within the Therapist of the Year section, including specialist awards for skin professionals who had produced the best results on rosacea, pigmentation and signs of ageing.

The Institute for Active Ageing owns skin supplement brand Advanced Nutrition Programme and makeup brand Et Al and also distributes skincare brand Environ.
