Inaugural World Spa Awards winners announced

Lanserhof Tegernsee, Jumeirah’s in-house spa brand Talise, QMS Medicosmetics and the Sha Wellness Clinic were among the winners of the inaugural World Spa Awards last week. The awards, hosted by the organisers of the World Travel Awards, were held at the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort in Vietnam.
Lanserhof Tegernsee won World’s Best Medical Spa, while Talise won World’s Best Hotel Spa Brand, QMS was named World’s Best Spa Brand and Spain’s Sha Wellness Clinic took home the Spain’s Best Wellness Spa trophy.
Other winners on the night included the Anantara Spa at Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara in the UAE, which won World’s Best Desert Spa; the Six Senses Spa at Evason Ma'in Hot Springs in Jordan, named World's Best Mineral & Hot Springs Spa 2015; and Gaia Retreat & Spa, which won World’s Best Day Spa.
The Forte Village Resort in Italy won World’s Best Wellness Spa, the Etihad Six Senses Spa At Etihad Airways Premium Lounges, Abu Dhabi Airport was crowned the World’s Best Airline Lounge Spa, while the Mandara Spa at Norwegian Cruise Line won World’s Best Cruise Spa.
The spa at Fonteverde Tuscan Resort & Spa won World's Best Countryside Hotel Spa and the Harnn Heritage Spa at InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort won Vietnam's Best Hotel Spa and World's Best New Hotel Spa and the Emirates Palace Spa won World’s Best Hotel Spa– to name just a few winners.
