150 spas support a stress free National Spa Awareness Week
More than 150 UK spas have pledged their support for National Spa Awareness Week, which kicked off on Monday.
The event, which runs until Friday November 8, is being run by the UK Spa Association in support of the military charity Combat Stress.
National Spa Awareness Week coincides with National Stress Awareness Day yesterday (November 6). Therefore, The UK Spa Association has teamed up with the International Stress Management Association (ISMA) to raise awareness about the importance of managing stress in everyday life.
Spas including Rockliffe Hall, The Spa in Dolphin Square and spa chains Champneys and Virgin Active have been inviting clients to take a break from stress in the form of a discounted spa treatments, fundraising activities, spa offers, and promotional events to discuss stress in everyday life.
As part of National Stress Awareness Day, Champneys held a live web TV show at 12pm today to discuss its Wellbeing Report, which was commissioned to find out what concerns and stresses people have and what they can do to help the wellbeing of their clients.
Spaseekers & Wahanda are also doing special vouchers to be redeemed at the participating spas. Others taking part are offering 50% off and two-for-one massages.
