2013 Condé Nast Traveller Spa Awards winners announced

Como Shambala Estate, the spa at Gleneagles and the spa and wellness facilities at the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz were among the winners at the 2013 Condé Nast Traveller Spa Awards on May 1.
Held at London’s Four Seasons at Park Lane hotel, the awards ceremony saw Bali’s Como Shambala Estate named best destination spa, the spa at Gleneagles win the UK readers’ award for ‘best British fixer’ and the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz named best medispa.
Other winners on the night included the spa at the One & Only The Palm in Dubai, taking the best hot spot honour, La Réserve in Switzerland – deemed best for anti-ageing – and Carlisle Bay in Antigua, taking home the readers’ award as the best destination for families.
Speakers at the event included Espa founder Susan Harmsworth and Frances Geoghegan, managing director of tour operator Healing Holidays.
