2015 Asia Spa Awards winners announced
Kamalaya Wellness Sanctuary & Holistic Spa in Thailand, Iridium Spa at The St Regis Chengdu in China and the Nihiwatu Resort Sumba Island in Indonesia were among the winners at the 2015 Asia Spa Awards last week.
The winners in the 11th annual Asia Spa Awards were announced at an awards ceremony in Hong Kong on November 10, with Kamalaya winning Spa of the Year – Southeast Asia & the Pacific, Iridium Spa named New Spa of the Year and the Nihiwatu Resort taking home the Destination Hotel/Resort of the Year honour.
Other spa and resort winners included the Aman Spa at the Aman Tokyo, winning Spa of the Year – North & West Asia; the Spa and Ayurvedic Retreat, Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru, named Destination Retreat of the Year; Banyan Tree Spa Marina Bay Sands at the Marina Bay Sands Hotel in Singapore, winning Urban Spa of the Year; and Cocoa Island by Como in the Maldives, which won Romantic Hotel/Resort of the Year.
The awards also included trophies for some of the continent’s leading spa brands and treatments. Brand winners included Aromatherapy Associates’ male grooming line The Refinery, which won Men’s Product Line of the Year, Subtle Energies, crowned Natural Product Line of the Year, Comfort Zone, named Spa Product Line of the Year and Elemis, which won Anti-Ageing Product Line of the Year.
Among the treatment awards winners were the Vedic Aromatherapy Full Body and Facial Marma Therapy at The Peninsula Spa, The Peninsula Hong Kong, for Holistic Treatment of the Year; the Red Carpet Treat (Bio-Tox) at the Retreat by Bodywize in Hong Kong; and Mankind, The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Guangzhou in China – which won Medi-Spa Treatment of the Year and Men’s Grooming Treatment of the Year, respectively.
