Hilton Worldwide is set to take over the 389-room Kempinski Munich Airport, rebranding it as Hilton Munich Airport, in January next year.

The hospitality group will add 160 rooms to the property in 2017 and the hotel will also have a Fit & Fly spa area. The spa will comprise whirlpool, sauna and steam room facilities, as well as seven treatment rooms, a 17m swimming pool, a pool bar and a fitness centre.

The property will also host extensive meeting and conference facilities and a range of food and beverage outlets.

Rob Palleschi, global head of Hilton Hotels & Resorts said: "We look forward to welcoming Hilton Munich Airport as one of more than 50 airport properties now operating worldwide and the 13th Hilton hotel in Germany."
