Tried and tested: X Body from Body Vibe
Body contouring is one of the biggest growth areas in aesthetics. After having cryolipolysis last year and seeing a great result I was keen to maintain it, but my busy schedule means exercise is something I often put on the back burner. Then I was introduced to Karolina Kaczor from Body Vibe.
A former competitive body builder turned personal trainer and lifestyle coach, Kaczor has brought XBody to the UK. It helps you tone up and improve your body shape but also aids with lymphatic drainage, reduces body fat and tones the skin.
Training involves doing a 20-minute work out wearing an Electro Muscular Stimulation (EMS) full-body suit. The electrodes were placed directly on my body to target each important muscle group. The training involves both strength/resistance and cardio exercises, and one session is supposed to be the equivalent of roughly two and a half hours in a gym. The intensive workout was followed by 10 minutes of relaxation and massage to encourage lymphatic drainage, which can improve circulation and reduce the appearance of cellulite.
The XBody changes the way the body uses calories by increasing muscle density to help burn fat faster. As the electric impulses work on the muscles directly, there is no pressure on the joints – as is often the case with weight workouts. The blood circulation of the muscular and connective tissues is also enhanced, leading to firmer, more toned skin. Other benefits include strengthening of the back muscles, which can help relieve back problems; incontinence relief; improved posture and increased physical strength and endurance.
As a qualified NLP practitioner and hypnotherapist, Kaczor also offers nutritional advice and coaching to help clients change their attitude to food as part of the programme.
XBody has been a great addition to my new health and fitness regime and I would highly recommend it for anyone who has had aesthetic body contouring procedures as it enhances treatment outcomes.
