ALEXIA INGE CULT BEAUTY CO-FOUNDER AND TIFFANY HALL BOTH EXIT THG

 Alexia Inge co-founded CULT Beauty 14 years ago. In August 2021 Cult Beauty was acquired by The Hut Group (THG) for £275m. The business sits alongside other beauty and health-focused companies including Lookfantastic, ESPA, Dermstore and Glossybox.

In an article published in The Sunday Times on Sunday 17th April Inge wrote an email to staff, sharing her news that she would be leaving the business and this was the “hardest decision” of her life.

 

In a statement to Cosmetics Business, a spokesperson for THG said that her exit comes following Cult Beauty’s integration into the company.

 

“Alexia has done a great job in building Cult into a significant and successful brand, and she leaves the business, as planned, after ensuring a successful integration,” they said. “It’s a legacy we intend to build upon and we wish her all the best in her future endeavours.”

 

The Hut Group has revealed that former British Airways and Bupa boss Tiffany Hall has stepped down from its board with immediate effect. Hall has departed as executive director of the board due to family reasons. Damian Sanders, chair of the audit committee, will resume his previous role as chair of the remuneration committee on an interim basis.

 

“I would like to thank Tiffany for her contribution to THG during the last 12 months, most notably as chair of the remuneration committee. We wish her all the best for the future,” THG co-founder and chief executive Matthew Moulding said. Hall added: “Although my time with the group has been shorter than anticipated, I have huge respect and admiration for everything Matthew Moulding and the board have achieved, and I believe THG has great long-term prospects. I wish the team continued success.”
