Anantara expands hotel and spa offering
Anantara is expanding its global property portfolio with a slate of new acquisitions in Asia and Africa. The Thai hospitality group added Anantara Angkor Resort & Spa, its first property in Cambodia and Anantara Chiang Mai Resort & Spa in Thailand, its 100th property, to the books in November. Last month also saw the reopening of the Anantara Bophut Koh Samui Resort & Spa, following six months closure for refurbishment.
The hotel group’s first property in Africa, the Anantara Bazaruto Island Resort & Spa in Mozambique opened on December 1, with the Anantara Phuket Layan Resort & Spa set to open on January 15. Each property features an Anantara Spa. At the boutique Anantara Angkor Resort & Spa, comprising 39 rooms and suites, spa facilities include three spa suites with outdoor whirlpools and rain showers, two Khmer massage rooms, a foot massage room and a rooftop garden, in which yoga classes are offered.
