Anesis targets 20 new salons via franchise model
London-based salon Anesis is looking to open 20 new salons across the UK within the next three years, via a new franchise scheme.
The concept, called Anesis Glamour Bar, will offer franchisees a start-up facility with the fit-out of a store, professional and retail product lines, initial and on-going training and development, and monthly digital and physical PR through a localised agency. The initial outlay will be around £50,000. Each store will also have its own designated landing page on a website, and services including SEO and pay-per-click.
Anesis has outlined a development schedule of 20 stores over the next three years, focusing on affluent locations such as Ascot, Cobham and Guildford. The company is also considering the possibility of investment franchises, where Anesis would run the salon on behalf of the investing franchisee. Unlike the original Anesis salon, the Glamour Bar salons will not have a clinic and won’t offer medical aesthetic treatments. They will focus on express treatments delivered in a luxury environment.
Speaking exclusively to Professional Beauty, director Damien Zannetou said: “I think there is a huge gap in the market for a national UK beauty franchise where hair is secondary to the service and not primary.”
There is a ready-made treatment menu featuring make-up application, brow and lash treatments, facials, tanning and various options in a champagne nail bar, in partnership with Laurent-Perrier. The main product house will be Aenea, a product line developed by Anesis and spanning all treatment areas from skincare to waxing, nails, tanning and lashes.
An opening stock order will be included for franchisees. “It’s targeted at the premium end of the market but with an affordable price point. It comes with all of its own product lines, making it much more lucrative,” said Zannetou. Zannetou said he is also looking to open four or five more non-franchised salons across Southwest London in areas including Fulham, Richmond, Putney and Wimbledon Village. These will be owned and operated by Anesis and will include the full aesthetic offer.
