Babtac and Professional Beauty to launch innovation prize

Babtac and Professional Beauty have teamed up to launch a business competition to celebrate innovation in the industry.

Beauty professionals, including individuals, salons, suppliers and training providers, who have a unique idea for an original product or service are invited to apply for an innovation prize of £8,000.

Interested applicants will be asked to submit a 400-word description of their concept to enter. The competition will involve regional heats and finalists will pitch their idea to a Dragon’s Den-style panel of industry experts.

Semi-finalists will then be chosen and their videos will be posted on the Babtac website, where both consumers and professionals will vote for their favourite. The candidates whose videos receive the most votes will go on to fight it out in the final at the next Professional Beauty London show, on 23-24 February 2014.
