[Updated] Brand initiatives to support your business during Covid-19 crisis

Whether you’re a salon owner, a freelancer or a student, there are many resources on offer to support your business needs, upskill or share advice while beauty businesses and colleges are shut during the coronavirus. Here are just some of the brands offering support.

Dermalogica

Skincare brand Dermalogica has released two "In this together" live streams, which features ways for beauty therapists to leverage their social media platforms, share the importance of self-care and gain access to financial advice to help them manage their business while in lockdown. The brand's education team has also launched online masterclasses so beauty therapists can learn essential skills, such as how to perform digital skin consultations with clients.

Image Skincare

Image skincare is offering its partners a drop ship service so you can still take orders from customers and recommend products after skin consultations.

London Sugaring

The sugaring brand has launched a Facebook group called Sugarpreneurs Unite to provide help and support to the global sugaring community through this challenging time.

Additionally, it is also rolling out a four-payment instalment plan for all product orders to help support those in need of more flexibility as salons re-open in the future. Salons will also have access to net 30 terms upon good account history.

VTCT

The awarding organisation is offering up to date advice to support education centres and students. On its website, information, resources and FAQs are available for both teachers and students. Access its remote learning resources here.

Pure Nails

Pure Nails’ Facebook group is there to support professional nail technicians who are in need of help, advice or support during this difficult time.

Thalgo

Thalgo is currently offering theory and retail training to its customers via Zoom video calls. Its trainers will be covering a range of topics in 40-minute sessions for salon staff to keep up their knowledge and stay motivated. It is also offering Zoom 1:1s for anyone wanting to know more about the Thalgo or Perron Rigot brands. Email Judith Emslie on [email protected] for more information.

Shared Beauty Secrets

The distributor of Lava Shells is offering a complimentary soundtrack with five minutes of harmonic sound and vibrations of crystal singing bowls, which is used during its Sensory Retreats Divine Escape treatment. Contact [email protected] to receive the track and listen whenever you need to de-stress.

Katherine Daniels

The skincare brand has created at home facial bundles for clients to maintain their results at home. Plus, a drop shipping service is available for Katherine Daniels stockists, so clients can buy their products and have them delivered to their door to support your salon’s revenue. It is also providing access to marketing materials to help you during this time.

Elenzia

Elenzia will be honouring its original show offers to new customers until the end of April. If you purchase its Bronze product pack, you will receive five complimentary Endor Technologies Anti-Ageing Creams. Or, if you purchase the Silver or Gold product packages, you will receive three units of either Lasergen, Firming Cream or Elenzia Enhance. Contact the brand on [email protected] to find out more information.
