Dedicated waxing conference to launch in November
Hair removal experts Andy Rouillard and Mat O’Marah have joined forces to launch a dedicated waxing conference and exhibition aimed at the trade.
The Wax Show UK will be held on November 10 at the Pentahotel in Reading and will feature demonstrations, seminars and exhibition stands.
Rouillard, who runs men’s salon Axiom Bodyworks and The Wax Academty in Basingstoke, and O’Marah, who runs Waxing For Guys in Wolverhampton, came up with the idea after Rouillard was invited to speak at an event in California, US, also called The Wax Show.
Crickett Enos, founder of the US version of The Wax Show, will be one of the speakers at the UK event. Her session, Brazilians and Beyond, will cover new female intimate waxing styles.
Meanwhile, trainer Penny Turvey will speak on facial waxing and Carolynn Binnie from Alexandria Professional will cover the role of sugaring.
Other speakers will include Lucy Dixon of Couture Training, HD Brows’ Nilam Patel and Gill Morris of GMY Business Training.
Sponsors including Adam & Eve Wax, Spapliance, Waxxxpress and Outback Organics will also show their product on mini stands.
Tickets cost £75 and include lunch, drinks, samples and a CPD certificate.
