ESPA reveals changes to promote sustainability and naturality

ESPA has announced three new changes that it says reinforce its sustainability and naturality ethos.

These include the steps it has taken to increase sustainability throughout its packaging and operations; enhancing the quality of its formulations by achieving COSMOS natural certifications, introducing vegan-friendly formulas and extending the Tri-Active blend across all of its products; and a refreshed colour palette.

According to ESPA, these major changes, which form its 2020 vision, aim to deliver highly effective, natural formulations that promote natural beauty and sustainability.

It has pledged to constantly review its ingredients, manufacturing and packaging standards to meet its new sustainability goals for 2021, when all ESPA packaging will be recyclable, reusable or refillable; all paper and board will be sourced from FSC-certified sustainable sources; and ESPA will significantly increase the renewable energy generated at its factory, with 40% of usage coming from ESPA’s own solar panels.

To communicate the above changes to consumers, ESPA’s packaging will evolve throughout 2020 and beyond to include clear guidance on what can and cannot be recycled. This information will also be available on its website.
