Ex Cosmetronic director launches rival equipment supplier

Paul Matthes, the former sales director of equipment supplier Cosmetronic has launched PJS Direct as a new supplier of professional beauty equipment to salons, spas, mobile therapists and colleges. The company's main equipment line is in facial instruments branded with the PJS name but it also sells other equipment including massage couches and gas heaters. Matthes said he wants the company to be a one-stop-shop for quality and affordability to the UK and European beauty market. He held his previous role at Cosmetronic for ten years and aims to use his past experience of customer service and business advice at PJS Direct. 'Our goal is to become the top supplier for all beauty and hair equipment in our market place,' he said. 'We also aim to help new and existing businesses that are looking for bespoke equipment, marketing advice and recommendations,' he added. The company officially starts trading at the end of October.
