Global Wellness Day returning on June 9 with focus on kids’ wellness

International event Global Wellness Day is returning on Saturday, June 9, with a focus on children’s health and wellness.

The motto for this year’s event, “One day can change your whole life”, is focused on kids’ wellbeing, with a goal to decrease the worldwide depression and obesity rates.

The day will be celebrated in more than 4,000 locations in 100 countries, with family-friendly activities on offer in hotels, spas and community centres. Activities will range from group forest bathing to Tai Chef classes and junior chef challenges.

Anna-Cari Gund, president of Cidesco and Sweden’s Global Wellness Day ambassador, has announced that its global membership covering more than 41 countries is supporting the awareness day.

Global Wellness Day is a not-for-profit day dedicated to living well, now in its seventh year. The main aims of the day are to recognise the value of our lives, be free from stress and raise awareness of living healthy.
