Novalash targets lash techs to roll out licensed business model across UK
Lash extension brand Novalash is gearing up to launch a licensed business concept Novalash Signature Studios.
The brand is seeking lash technicians or entrepreneurs to sign up as licensees in a business model that is similar to a franchise, but offers the licensee full control over operations.
Novalash said the business concept could work as a standalone studio or within a department store.
Licensees would get discounted prices on products, plus marketing and design support. They would also be able to trade off the brand awareness of Novalash.
UK director Heather Hughes said the brand’s goal is to have two to three prime locations up and running by the end of 2016.
Novalash original Signature Studio was established in 2007 in Houston, Texas, by its chief executive Sophy Mersei and celebrity lash artist Sophia Navarro. In 2010, the concept was rolled out to select countries. The brand currently has four studios in Thailand, one in Hong Kong and one in India.
Initial start-up costs include a one-time licensing fee plus build and inventory costs.
