This session will look at the help and support available to those not covered by the Government’s new initiatives as well as reminding salon owners about the range of support that is available to them. The industry’s own charity, The Hair & Beauty Charity, is also offering support through its Covid-19 relief fund and the group will share how it is helping beauty professionals, as well as outline how you can help others.
The panel includes Hilary Hall, chief executive of the NHBF; Samantha Grocutt, president of the Hair and Beauty Charity; and Hellen Ward, managing director of Richard Ward Hair & Metrospa.
Tuesday 28 April – 3pm – Live webinar with waxer Kerri-Ann Angus – “Male waxing 101"
Kerri-Ann Angus, owner of Peaches Salons in Glasgow and Falkirk and the Peaches Academy, and Perron Rigot brand ambassador for Scotland, will be delivering an in-depth session on male waxing, covering the most popular treatments (brows, nose, back, etc) to offer and common troubleshooting techniques, as well as effective ways to market these services to men. She will also be taking questions from the audience. This session is sponsored by Italwax, who is supporting PB educating waxers while in lockdown.
Wednesday 29 April – 11am – Live webinar with brow specialist Racheal Hall – “Brow treatments: what you need to know about lamination, microblading and semi-permanent”
With so many different brow treatments on the market, Racheal Hall, owner of Eye/Brow Envy salon in Accrington, will explain the skills needed to perform three of the most popular services – brow lamination, microblading and semi-permanent. Hall will talk through the benefits of each, common troubleshooting issues and how to market these services, as well as take questions from the audience.
Thursday 30 April – 3pm – Beauty panel with Armand Beasley, Lisa Franklin and Georgia Barnes – “Organic, natural and clean beauty: the differences”
Three experts in the field of organic, natural and clean beauty will be discussing the differences between each of these key terms, as well as exploring how the beauty industry can continue to move forward in these spaces. This session is sponsored by Inika Organic.
