Professional Beauty confirmed a success
The show brought together more than 600 brands from every area of the industry including skincare, aromatherapy, spa, advanced treatments, nails, make-up, tanning and equipment, increasing the presence of brands from overseas.
Major brands chose Professional Beauty as the platform for their new launches; skincare brand Elemis showcased its first treatment machine Biotec, whilst distributor Louella Belle introduced their latest addition IBX to the nail fanatics, and equipment brand 3D-Lipo showed off the much anticipated 3D-Lipolite system.
The seminar offering was packed with inspiring talks and workshops; one of the best attended was the Business Skills programme, which featured sessions from social media consultant Catherine Trebble on how to use social media to market the business and managing director of Richard Ward Hair & Metro Spa, Helen Ward, revealing the 21 golden business rules.
Meanwhile the two free live stages saw the experts behind the brands at the show offering tips and demonstrating everything from facials and waxing to make-up, tanning and the latest nails trends.
The Professional Spa & Wellness Convention and the IMF conference brought delegates and speakers from across the globe together to network and discuss about the hottest topics the spa and beauty industry are facing, providing practical solutions on profitability and effective operation and identifying new markets.
The International Nail Championships and Warpaint Make-up Competition welcomed some of the finest nail and make-up talents along with emerging artists who battled it out and showcased their skills in front of the judges and the industry.
Both exhibitors and visitors declared the event a success.
Dean Nathanson, managing director of CACI International, said: “It’s probably the best show we’ve done in the last ten years. We’ve done half a million pounds worth of business with CACI, there was one point every single one of my team were signing orders - I’m so happy, it was really good”.
Georgie Smedley, director of Nail Harmony, added: “Sunday was a fantastic day, we had a huge footfall and we were really busy all the time. PB has done something great this time, bringing a very good quality of visitors”.
Meanwhile, visitor Natasha Jones, salon owner and training provider for Kennedia, said: “ Professional Beauty has lots of brands and it’s great to come and see all the developments in the industry”, while Lorraine O’Connor, salon owner at Eden Beauty, added: “It's the second show I’ve been to as I only recently started my business and I think it’s amazing”.
We will be adding a photo gallery to the website soon, featuring the show highlights, including Apprentice winner Dr Leah Totton on 3D-Lipo’s stand, the Dream Boys being spray tanned by Fake Bake, and celebrities Vicky Pattison, Amy Childs and Frankie Essex presenting their products at the show. Watch this space!
