Professional Spa & Wellness North speaker: Sue Davis
Sue Davis is resident naturopath at Lifehouse Spa & Hotel in Thorpe-le-Soken, Essex. She has a degree in naturopathy from Australia and also received Blackmore's' Outstanding Achievement in Naturopathy award upon graduation.
She has many years' experience of working for leading Thai health and wellness resort Chiva-Som, where she treated celebrities and royalty, among others. Sue has created and evolved the wide range of wellness breaks at Lifehouse to include Recovery Breaks for guests who wish to feel safe and nurtures while going though cancer treatment.
Sue will speak at Professional Spa & Wellness North, taking place as part of Professional Beauty North at Manchester Central, on Monday 21 September at 10:25-11:00am. She will advise on what role spas can play in improving cancer patients' lives, including:
- A review of the spa industry's current approach to handling guests and clients with cancer or a history of cancer, including case studies
- Dispelling common myths surrounding massage and cancer
- Exploring the barriers and challenges for spa managers/owners wishing to provide cancer friendly spa treatments
- Tips on how to become a Cancer Aware recognised establishment
