Reena Hammer made managing director of Urban Retreat
Reena Hammer has been appointed managing director of The Urban Retreat Group. Hammer, who is the daughter of Urban Retreat chairman George Hammer, has worked in the family-run company for more than 10 years, most recently as creative and brand director.
She has managed some significant changes for the company in the past two years, including a multimillion-pound refurbishment that included the introduction of The Moroccan Hammam and The Make-Up Salon.
George Hammer said: “She has gained the support and respect of our staff, client base and suppliers, and has proved to be an invaluable asset to our business. I am both delighted and proud to be able to announce her as the managing director of our company.”
Talking about her appointment, Reena said: “I would like to thank my father for building an amazing business that I, alongside our fantastic team, can grow in the future. I am honoured and very proud to lead and represent the Urban Retreat Group.”
George Hammer will remain as chairman and continue to be engaged in all aspects of the business.
