Salon System’s parent company purchased by PDC Brands

Salon System’s parent company Original Additions has been acquired by US beauty and personal care company PDC Brands, it has been announced.

PDC has a range of brands under its umbrella, including skincare brand Dr Teal’s, fragrance label Body Fantasies, hiarcare brand Cantu and body and bath line Bodycology.

The Salon System sales, training and marketing team will remain the same and will continue to be overseen by Kathy Holroyd, marketing director for professional brands.

The Salon System brand portfolio includes nail brand Gellux, lash lines Naturalash and Marvelash, brow brands Refectocil and Marvelbrow and waxing line Just Wax, among others.

Simon Zussman, managing director of Original Additions, said “This is great news for Original Additions and Salon System and the Salon System team will continue to provide our customers with the excellent products, education and customers service that’s become expected after 35 years in the trade.
