Scotland's largest infinity pool welcomes guests in Portavadie
A new luxury spa and leisure experience has opened in Scotland’s Portavadie resort on the west coast of the country.
Part of a £10 million development, the complex includes a 16m indoor pool, outdoor spa pools, two Scandinavian saunas, a gym and the largest heated outdoor infinity pool in Scotland. All facilities give guests floor to ceiling views across Loch Fyne and to the Isle of Arran. There are also relaxation areas, a café-bar and treatment rooms.
Portavadie has chosen Decléor and Ishga as product houses for bespoke treatments in the custom treatment rooms, which have been fitted out with high-spec equipment and furnishings, including a sound and lighting system to enhance the atmosphere and mood of each room.
General manager Iain Jurgensen said: “It’s fantastic to see our unique, world class spa and leisure experience at Portavadie now open. The team has created the most stunning light-filled relaxation and wellness space, offering the ultimate in luxury and reward for our guests. We are all proud to see our beautiful glass doors open to guests and visitors. Already the feedback is excellent and locals, marina visitors and guests have been simply blown away by the breath-taking setting and facilities.”
The resort is also home to a range of self-catering cottages, luxury and studio apartments, lodge rooms and loch-side restaurants and bars serving Scottish cuisine. The new spa and leisure facilities are open to residents throughout the week and non-residents on Sunday-Friday. Membership options are also available.
