SpaSeekers introduces a Plus Size Spa category

UK spa bookings site, SpaSeekers.com has introduced a Plus Size Spa category to its website to help visitors identify the UK’s spas which provide size friendly amenities and facilities.

The booking site, which represents over 500 spas nationwide, has already had 80 spas signed up to feature, including the likes of Clarice House, Macdonald Hotels, Q Hotels, Sopwell House Hotel in St Albans, St David’s Spa in Cardiff, Academy Spa in Harrogate, Nutfield Priory in Surrey, Dolphin Square in London and London Heathrow Sofitel.

Such amenities include the provision of larger sized robes, bigger towels, wider treatment couches and a policy of making sure each guest is made to feel comfortable in the spa environment.

In addition, some of the spas offer spacious individual changing rooms, larger shower cubicles and wider dining chairs without arm rests.

SpaSeekers’ founder, Jason Goldberg, said: "This is very much showcasing spas which are size friendly where everyone can feel comfortable.  The size of spa robes has long been a hot topic of conversation with our customers, many complaining that they are too small to provide adequate cover.

“We recognise that it’s not always easy for people to ask our advisors such questions and wanted to make the whole booking experience as simple and stress free as possible,” he added.
