What is the background of the company and what type of products do you offer?

Clinogen Laboratories is a UK based company established in 1979. We specialise in medical aesthetics for the treatment for skin problems such as acne and scarring as well as pigmentation. Clinogen also specialises in advanced wound healing and has now been integrated in to the aesthetics industry for post invasive procedures

 

What is your most popular product and what do you think makes it popular?

Hair V Go is taking the industry by storm since its recent launch. To date there has been no treatment for permanent hair reduction for downy hair. Hair V Go is has provided the answer for downy facial hair problem.

 

What makes your products special over the competition?

Clinogen is a British company which carries out its own research and development and manufactures the products in the UK. Clinogen has always been on the cutting edge of innovation.

Clinogen can claim several firsts, including the use of oxygen for treating problem skins; harnessing sound energy for hair removal; and the creation of the dry would healing concept using a spray-on dressing. Clinogen’s philosophy is based on the belief that products need not be over-engineered, and instead the emphasis is on assuring their efficacy and simplicity.

 

How cost effective are your products when introducing them into a salon?

Our products are extremely cost effective with margins of 70 – 90% per session. It is essential that salon owners understand the profitability of a range. We make this clear by providing a Key Facts document showing treatment cost, profitability, payback time.

 

Do you provide any extra services, advice or training programmes for professionals who use your products in their salons?

Product training is also carried out at our state-of-the-art training centre in Windsor. Therefore, clinicians and therapists have the reassurance that they can speak to the company personnel behind the products.

With almost 35 years of experience in the industry, we are ideally placed to offer practitioners advice and guidance on how to grow their business. Are you having anything new on your stand at the show?

Any other plans for the show?

I will be speaking on the live stage & the seminar stage and will be speaking about the use of Oxygen delivery and biological exfoliation for treating skin disorders without any side effect or down time for the patient. I am also speaking about advanced hair removal systems for treating all hair colours and all skin tones.

 

What tips would you give salon owners looking to introduce a new line into their salon?

Always look at the bottom line. You need to make sure that you will have a large enough customer base to warrant introducing a new range. Also look at whether the range will encourage customers to become repeat customers rather than hopping from one salon to another looking for the cheapest deal.

We have been shortlisted for three categories in the MyFaceMyBody Awards. These are for Most Innovative Treatment for Hair V Go, for the treatment of downy hair, and Youki The Wound Healer has been shortlisted in two categories – Most Innovative Cosmetic Surgery Product and Most Innovative Treatment.
