A new spa, the Tierra Santa Healing House, has opened at the Faena Hotel Miami Beach.
The 2,043sq m spa comprises 11 treatment rooms, all with a private terrace, and a wide range of other facilities.
Inspired by South American health and healing traditions and with a design theme drawn from the region, the spa incorporates spa and beauty treatments, fitness and nutrition, and medical care.
Facilities include a wet spa with the Waterfall range of experience showers, a hammam, sauna, herbal steam room, tepidarium, chill room, ice fountain and two wet scrub treatment rooms.
Among other features is a fitness studio, a yoga studio, a beauty salon offering manicures, pedicures and makeup, and a Rossano Ferretti hair salon.
Treatments at the spa include the 110-minute Sacred Warrior treatment, a deep tissue massage using herbal poultices and lapis lazuli to release tension, and a rose bath for restorative effect.
The spa menu also features the Palo Santo & Sound Bowls treatment, which includes the use of singing bowls by the hotel’s resident shaman, and the application of the Palo Santo body oil. The oil derives from the Palo Santo tree, believed to have magical qualities.
Also on offer are a series of massages and facials, as well as medical and wellness programmes. The Executive Preventative Medical Programme incorporates a comprehensive range of services, including a heart scan, blood tests, liver screening and echocardiogram, among other services.
The Wellness Concierge Programme is an annual programme for Miami residents and includes unlimited yearly visits, phone and email consultations, and tests including EKGs and stress testing.
There is also the Complete Detox programme and the Dr Enzyme programme, created by Dr Matthew Cooper (aka “Dr Enzyme”) focused on the digestive system.
The spa has its own skincare range and also works with results-driven line Biologique Recherche.
