Professional Beauty's 'festival season' nail competition winner announced!

We’re thrilled to announce the winner of our 'festival season' nail competition. 

We asked you to think of echoes of summer, confetti skies, hands in the air, and nails that bring more energy than the headline act🎉

We asked you to include:
✨ A chrome element
✨ One 3D element
✨ One nod (however subtle) to a band, musician or instrument

Entrants were marked on overall design and creativity, technical execution, nail art detailing, theme interpretation and presentation quality.

We are delighted to announce that Phylicia Henry is the winner, scoring the highest with 93 points.

Deputy editor and nail artist Kezia Parkins said: 

"For me, Phylicia Henry was the clear winner for her festival nail set inspired by Clipse. The mix of matte and gloss lends itself so well to this design, and the detail and shading on the Kaws Companion character is perfect."

"The 3D elements for the chains and trumpet are flawless, as are the baroque elements. Excellent use of gold and cat-eye, and the line work on the letters is on point."
