Meliá Campione to open in Italy later this year

Melia Hotels International has announced the opening of the Meliá Campione in the Italian province of Como, at the end of this year. 

The boutique property, located by Lake Lugano, will feature just 40 rooms, and will also house spa and wellness facilities and an all-day dining restaurant, among other facilities. 

Gabriel Escarrer, vice chairman and chief executive of Meliá Hotels International, said: “This beautiful province is an area of great potential for the luxury hotel and travel industry and puts us in a strong position in the Italian market.”
