At Professional Beauty London 3-4 April 2022 we will host 10 programmes of education and inspirational speakers for salon and spa owners, freelancers and those aspiring for a career in our amazing industry. 

 

For those who are dreaming of owning a beauty business and do not know how to get started in the industry, we have 10 sessions to help you get your dream business off the ground. There will be experts on hand to offer advice and support and answer all your questions in their specialist field.  Below you will find a schedule based on topics that might interest you as an aspiring beauty entrepreneur. These are live sessions that will take place across both days of the show at ExCel London on April 3-4.

11:00- 11:45 CIDESCO Stage: How to build and sustain a successful beauty brand, Black Pigmentation Association

12:00-13:00 Business Stage-Management and Operations: The state of the industry,The NHBF shares the latest results from their state of the industry survey and explores the top issues the beauty industry is currently facing

 

Speakers: Richard Lambert, Chief Executive of the National Hair and Beauty Federation. Richard Lambert was previously Chief Executive of the National Landlords Association, and before that, of the British Woodworking Federation. Caroline Larrissey, Director of Quality and Standards at the National Hair & Beauty Federation. Caroline Larissey has over 30 years’ experience in hair, beauty and aesthetics. She liaises at the highest levels with a wide range of professional bodies, industry organisations and key government contacts on a range of vital issues that affect the hair, beauty and barbering industries

 

13:00-14:00 Business Stage-Management and Operations: Create your salon vision, the 5 essential strategies to implement this year 

The beauty business has changed a lot over the last two years, due to the huge social-economical challenges we all have faced during the Covid-19 pandemic. Making decisions about which changes are the right ones for the future of your salon business can be daunting. Even though not everyone can afford a business coach, everyone should have access to tools and strategies to be able to work toward and change their vision accordingly. In this seminar, Liza Smith will outline how to identify the right path for you and the strategies to draw on in order to achieve your vision.

12:00-13:00 Business Stage-Management and Operations: Lessons learned, how to start your own skin business

The NHBF is joined by a panel of experts who will discuss how they will be using social media in 2022 to build their brand.

13:00-13:30 Launch Pad Stage: Run your own salon with low start-up costs & maximum control 

This webinar is aimed at those who would like to run their own salon with low start-up costs & maximum control through a franchise partnership.  Many assume that franchising involves high costs and loss of control. However, you will find out that this is not always the case. Salon owner and Guinot franchisee Karen Hargreaves will join Guinot’s franchise manager, Ellie Tidy, to discuss the common misconceptions surrounding franchising and how converting into a franchise could be a viable option for some salon owners including the benefits of franchising as an exit strategy, the support you should expect from a franchisor, and the statistics on how it can grow revenue and profit.

14:00-15:00 Business Stage - Marketing and Social Media: How to use social media to attract more dream clients than you'll ever possibly need.
