2016 Professional Spa & Wellness Convention programme announced

The programme for the 2016 Professional Spa & Wellness Convention, held in London February 28-29, has been announced.

Daniel Friedland, managing director of Super Smart Health, Hans-Peter Veit, group spa director at the Oetker Collection and Jeremy McCarthy, group spa director at the Mandarin Oriental hotel group are some of the speakers at next year’s Professional Spa & Wellness Convention.

Friedland, managing director of Super Smart Health, which offers workshops, coaching and wellness and leadership programmes based on brain science and mindfulness, will deliver a keynote address on the topics of Neuroplasticity, Neuroleadership and Peak Performance Programmes For Spas on day one, Sunday February 28.

Viet and McCarthy are both participating in the panel on Human Resources: Help Your Team Bloom And Flourish Session on day two, Monday February 29. 

Other speakers at the convention include Anna Bjurstam, vice president of spas at Six Senses and Laura McIver, vice president and general manager of Miraval Arizona, both on the Wellness In Action: Leading Programmes to Guide Guests Towards Optimal Health panel on day one.

In addition to the Human Resources panel, day two of the convention also features the Spa Leadership session, chaired by Espa founder Susan Harmsworth and with panelists including Liz Holmes, national health and beauty manager at Virgin Active and Jacqueline Kneebone, regional director of spa and retail at Morgans Hotel Group.

The Professional Spa & Wellness Convention, which annually attracts more than 300 senior spa and wellness industry delegates from around the world takes place as part of the Professional Beauty trade show in London on February 28-29.
