PB team take on Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for The Hair & Beauty Charity

Members of the Professional Beauty team are taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge in March to raise money for The Hair & Beauty Charity.

Professional Beauty sales manager Jack Diamond, account manager Peter Bishop and operations executive Matt Price will be joined by friend Ben Teicht as they climb Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scaffell Pike in England, and Snowdon in Wales in just 24 hours on March 12. The group will climb a total of 11,182ft and trek 22 miles.

The team will be raising money to support The Hair & Beauty Charity, which offers financial help to industry professionals who are in difficult times due to unforeseen circumstances, such as illness, bereavement, and financial hardship.

The official charity for the hair and beauty industry, the charity dates to 1836, when it was known as The Hairdressers’ Orphans Fund, and has supported industry professionals ever since. Professional Beauty Group is an official media sponsor of the charity.

As a result of the pandemic, The Hair & Beauty Charity saw a 144% increase in requests for financial assistance, and the total annual funding provided to applicants rise by 74% between 2019 and 2022.

Diamond said: “We always spoke about doing a challenge together and it seemed fitting to support the industry. Working with professional beauty brands, we understand how important it is to give support to those within the industry who are facing difficult times and The Hair & Beauty Charity do a great job of offering that support.”

Price added: “While it’s certainly going to be a change of scenery from the office, I’m excited to take on the challenge of climbing the highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales. The Hair & Beauty Charity was an obvious choice for us to support as we are an official media sponsor of the charity and want to support the amazing work they do.”
