Aqua fitness emerges as UK spa trend
Water-based fitness is on the rise in UK spas, with a growing number of businesses introducing classes and facilities. Nirvana day spa in Wokingham, Berkshire, The Dolphin Square Fitness Club in London and the hotel spa at The Landmark London are among the businesses that have brought fitness features and classes on-board in the last few months.
London’s first aqua spinning classes launched at the Dolphin Square Fitness Club, linked to the spa at Dolphin Square, on October 15 and spa and fitness club manager Catherine De Viliers is confident that water fitness will continue to gather strength. She said: “We believe that water-based wellbeing and fitness regimes in spas are a growing trend and will be big news in 2014.”
