Information sharing, networking and the launch of the Spa Life Academy formed part of this year’s Spa Life UK conference

Taking charge of your marketing offering, maximising online revenue potential and a focus on training and education were key issues on the agenda at the fourth annual Spa Life UK. Held at Wybsoton Lakes hotel and conference centre in Bedfordshire on November 12-13, the event drew more than 300 delegates from the UK spa and wellness industry over the two days.

The forum on day one allowed buyers and suppliers to schedule face-to-face meetings with the contacts most relevant to their business. Meanwhile, the senior industry professionals taking part in the invitation-only CEO summit on the opening day discussed the effects of cuts in the education system on the quality of therapists coming in to the business. This year’s event also saw the launch of the Spa Life Academy, which offers nine short courses in areas ranging from spa business management and understanding finance to maximising marketing and social media and boosting retail sales.
