Value of natural beauty market growing globally
The global natural beauty market has grown some 10.6% in 2013, according to research conducted by market analyst, Kline & Company.
According to Kline, the growth in this sector in more established markets like Europe is below the global average but still strong. Natural beauty in Europe grew by 6% in 2013, according to the group.
Carrie Mellage, vice president of Kline’s Consumer Products practice, notes “Although growth numbers have settled, many factors, including a focus on new natural ingredients, the opening of new channels of distribution, and consumer movement demanding greater transparency in labeling, are stimulating the industry. Moreover, marketers are offering products specifically designed for specific demographic groups like men and babies, thereby opening up greater opportunities.”
Robust growth in emerging markets like China and Brazil helped boost the value of the global market to $29.5billion this year.
