Centara to open eighth Phuket resort

Centara Hotels & Resorts is set to open its eighth property, the Centara Bangtao Resort Phuket, on the Thai island in August 2016. The resort will feature 150 rooms, a Cense by Spa Cenvaree, a mini-gym and a swimming pool and sundeck, among other facilities. 

 

Currently in the design and planning stages, construction is set to begin in July 2014 and, once completed, the new-build property will occupy 647 hectares of land. Hotel amenities will include a restaurant, a business corner and a kid's corner. 

 

Centara chief executive officer Thirayuth Chirathivat said: “Bangtao is set on one of Phuket’s longest beaches. This part of the island has become very popular with visitors, and we are delighted to be opening a hotel here.”
