The new Pro-Intense Lift Effect Facial from Elemis tackles the sagging jawline common in the over-50s

Launching last month, the anti-ageing Pro-Intense Lift Effect Facial is the most recent addition to Elemis’ treatment collection. Directly targeting the sagging of the chin and jowls that typically affects mature skin, the thorough and comprehensive facial takes an in-depth approach to addressing the signs of ageing around the jawline.

My treatment at the Elemis Day Spa in London begins with the Skin Lab analysis that precedes all Elemis facials – highlighting factors such as the level of wrinkles and sun-triggered pigmentation in my skin –before the facial itself gets underway.

After lightly taking my makeup off and cleansing my face, my therapist tones and exfoliates my skin, subsequently removing the Rehydrating Ginseng Toner and the Gentle Rose Exfoliator with warm mitts – a lovely sensation on a chilly September morning.

She then works Amber Massage Balm into my chin, cheeks and jaw, using strong but not painfully intense pressure, and proceeds to apply one of the features that makes this facial unique: the Pro-Intense Lift Effect Jowl and Chin Mask.
