Elemis and Dermalogica to launch pigmentation products at Professional Beauty
Treatment products targeting pigmentation are set to be among the major launches on show at Professional Beauty London at Excel on February 22-23.
Leading professional skincare houses Elemis and Dermalogica will be unveiling new ranges to the salon market at the exhibition that are specifically formulated to help brighten skin and prevent the appearance of age spots.
Elemis will be showcasing the first products in its White Brightening range: the Even Tone Cleanser contains daisy extract to help inhibit the production of melanin, amino acids from oats to help strengthen the skin’s barrier function, and extracts of kiwi and sophora to help reduce the appearance of age spots. The second product is the Even Tone Lotion, which features skin brightening sophora extract and daisy extract, as well as red algae to minimise sebum production.
Meanwhile Dermalogica will launch its Power Bright TRx range of three new products, which are designed to fit in to a client’s existing skincare regime. There is a powerful broad spectrum SPF moisturiser, Pure Light with SPF50, as well as the Pure Night overnight treatment designed to restore hydration to the skin. The hero product is the C-12 Pure Bright Serum.
Sally Penford said, “Pigmentation is still a big topic but there has been a shift in the position. Previosuly we took our lead from Asia where the focus was on whitening. Now it’s a much broader position, so we look at all types of pigmentation: post-pregnancy pigmentation, post-inflammation pigmentation from acne, UV damage.”
