PB: What is the background of the company and what type of products do you offer?
DS: Sappsuma is one of the market leading providers of mobile phone apps to the salon/beauty industry. We create client facing mobile phone apps for salons, providing a direct link between the salon and their customers. Our apps include many innovative features all designed to help grow a salons business.
PB: What is your most popular product and what do you think makes it popular?
DS: Each app we make is branded specifically for the individual salon/beautician. Therefore each app/product is unique.
PB: What makes your products special over the competition?
DS: Sappsuma creates good quality apps at the most competitive price. We believe that every business, no matter how small should be able to benefit from this new technology and grow their business.
PB: How cost effective are your products when introducing them into a salon?
DS: Our apps are incredibly cost effective. Typically apps would cost thousands of pounds. As we design, develop and build our apps in house we can keep the costs minimal. Typically if you gained 1 new client a month the app would have paid for itself. There is no form of marketing that comes close to our apps in terms of return on investment!
PB: Do you provide any extra services, advice or training programmes for professionals who use your products in their salons?
DS: Of course! Once we have built and submitted the apps to the app stores every customer will receive a training session on how to use their app and get the most from it. We also provide telephone support and 24 hour email support!
PB: Why should salon owners visit your stand at the show?
DS: If you own a salon and want to grow your business our apps will be the best investment you make all year!
PB: Are you having anything new on your stand at the show?
DS: We are constantly updating our apps as part of the service. Recently all our apps were updated to iOS7 – for free!
PB: Will you be having any special offers exclusive to the show?
DS: Yes! We are offering a 50% discount on the setup fee and £120/year saving on the annual subscription!
PB: What tips would you give salon owners looking to introduce a new line into their salon?
DS: When looking to introduce a new line to your salon it is important to understand the benefits of the new product vs any existing products. The new product should add something new to your current offering, not simply replace it.
You should also think about how you will promote the new product, make sure staff are trained on how to use and how to talk about the product to your customers. This is the same for traditional salon products and also for technology products such as your own app!
PB: What else is taking place at the moment outside of show activities?
DS: Sappsuma is growing rapidly around the World. 2014 will see the company expand its presence into many more countries, helping many more salon owners to grow their businesses.
