PB meets Robert Miles, Managing Director of Premier Software

Professional Beauty speaks to Robert Miles, Managing Director of Premier Software, who offers a preview of what we can expect at the show.

Premier Software has been one of the leading UK developer of Spa and Salon management systems for over 17 years, supplying numerous award winning salons and spas right up to some of the world’s most prestigious Hotel chains and resorts.

What new and exciting features and functionality are you bringing to the market?

Premier is focusing on three major categories for our software in the New Year, these are Mobile, Big Data and Easy. The world is now mobile and at Premier we are working on adding significant functionality to all our Mobile applications. All business is about data and Premier is making sure that clients can access all data about their business quickly and effectively to enable them to make their business decisions quickly. Premier has a history of leading edge systems but we are now going to focus on making everything we do easier for the users.

What features does your software have that makes it different from the competition?

Premiers aim is to continue to provide a highly feature rich application that is driven by our users requirements. This is also driven by the current advances in Cloud based technologies and Mobile applications that are enabling the operators to have a much faster access to their business data and in a much easier and more digestible format. We are continuing to develop both of these options across all our product range.

How much can a salon expect to spend on your products?

We have a complete range of offerings starting from our completely free offering via our Salonlite solution right up to our Core system that has a bespoke price structure dependent upon the exact needs and budgets of the business. In short our client’s dependent upon their business needs will typically pay between £0 - £995 - £1995 for the initial software system of which we can provide flexible leasing options if necessary.

Do you provide any extra services for professionals who use your products in the salons?

One of the many reasons that Premier has maintained its position within the UK is its highly experienced team of trainers, offering a full range of training programmes for our clients.

Why should salon owners visit your stand at the show?

Professional Beauty will be a major showcase event for the latest versions of the whole range of spa and salon management software. Along with our latest offerings we will once again be holding a series of pre-booked  training sessions for our clients to allow them to maximise the benefits of our software.

Are you bringing anything new on your stand at the show?

Premier will be previewing the launch of its new product Premier Salon as well as its enhanced cloud based version of Salonlite. Premier will also have its latest corporate release of Core along with its new enhanced web offerings.

What tips would you give salon owners looking to introduce a new line into their salon?

Software for running your business is no longer an option, it is an essential for anyone who is serious about creating and building a sustainable business. There are lots of options to choose from, so it is important that the business owner makes sure that they are completely clear on what they want from the software they choose. All systems will now cover the basics of appointments, client details and probably stock. It is vitally important to be happy with any ongoing costs and the levels of support they are expecting from their chosen provider. Before they make any decisions about which software they choose, they should look at who else is using the system and what they say about both the system and the company.

What is your vision for the business?

The product range we have and the 18 years of experience in this sector enable us to expand our client base outside of the UK to become one of the leading software providers to the Spa industry worldwide.
