Professional Beauty meets Clare Muir, Head of Training at the iiaa
The iiaa distributes Environ Skincare, jane iredale Mineral Cosmetics and the Advanced Nutrition Programme beauty supplements to thousands of salons. These three brands work in synergy to achieve fantastic results, offering in-salon services to help salons boost their businesses, and running a range of product training courses.
PB: What is your most popular product and what do you think makes it popular?
CM: Our most popular Environ products include the C-Quence eye-gel and the AVST moisturisers, while the PurePressed base is one of our top selling Jane Iredale products – it really does make the skin look absolutely flawless! The Pro Vitality vitamin supplements and Skin Vit A capsules from our Advanced Nutrition Programme Range are also very popular.
PB: What makes your products special over the competition?
CM: All our products are results-driven. We don’t believe in ‘pampering’, our formulations have been designed to work with the physiology of the skin for maximum long-term benefits. Our amazing before and after pictures are a great testament to what our products achieve and they’re all completely un-retouched. Our philosophy of feeding skin internally with nutritional supplements, as well as caring for it topically, is also unique. We believe this holistic approach gives clients a total skincare solution.
PB: How cost effective are your products when introducing them into a salon?
CM: Very cost-effective, simply because they really do work! Our products generate very strong client loyalty because of the results they achieve, which leads to plenty of repeat business for our stockists.
PB: Do you provide any extra services for professionals who use your products in their salons?
CM: We run free in-salon skin analysis and make-up events, which are a great way to help stockists boost their retail sales. They also pick up invaluable sales techniques. In addition to our in-salon events, we offer product training courses. If you’re looking for new staff or a new role our recruitment division, Beautymatch, should be your first port of call.
PB: Why should salon owners visit your stand at the show?
CM: Visitors can have their skin analysed with our state-of-the-art Visia machines, watch live treatment demos, have a makeover and find out more about our products.
